As a reminder, the following deadlines are soon approaching. All members of the Feinberg faculty are invited to apply and/or submit nominations for the following opportunities.

Wednesday, December 17

Letters of Intent for the 2026-2027 Bedside Medicine Scholars Program Due

The Society of Bedside Medicine, in partnership with the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the Northwestern University Center for Bedside Medicine, is excited to continue its Bedside Medicine Scholars program for the upcoming 2026-2027 year. The one-year scholars program provides a $35,000 stipend (plus an additional $5,000 for travel) to support a project at the scholar's home institution that promotes diagnostic excellence and the reduction of diagnostic error. It is expected that the majority of the budget will be used to support protected time for the scholar.

Augusta Webster Faculty Fellowship in Educational Research and Innovation Applications Due

The Augusta Webster Faculty Fellowship in Educational Research and Innovation is an opportunity for career development through investigator proposed projects in health professions education. The goal of the program is to assist faculty new to the domain of health professions education. Awarded fellows will receive $50,000 of funding over the course of two years. Review fellowship requirements.

Paula H. Stern Award for Outstanding Faculty in Science and Medicine Nominations Due

The annual Paula H. Stern Award for Outstanding Faculty in Science and Medicine is awarded by the Department of Pharmacology in conjunction with the Women Faculty Organization (WFO). This award was commissioned in recognition of Dr. Paula Stern’s 50 years of scientific accomplishments and dedicated service to Feinberg. The award is to be given this year to a Feinberg faculty member who has spent a significant portion of their career at Northwestern, has exhibited successful basic, translational, or clinical research, strong leadership at a local, national or international level in their field, and who has an exemplary track record of inspiring and mentoring trainees and/or young investigators.
